planetOGLE was originally OGLEWebDesign until early 2009 when the name planetOGLE replaced it. The name planetOGLE comes from two places – firstly, my last name, Ogle. Secondly the name was chosen because of the O.G.L.E. telescope in Chile (Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment). This telescope has discovered 14 extra-solar earth-like planets in the past eight years. The most significant planet discovery was the OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb – the planet that inspired my business name.
